    Every project at GSB goes through a rigorous process of checks and balances. It’s a unique process for a firm of our size. Usually, robust premedia production processes are offered as part of a print resource’s services – at a cost. However, our process touches every client’s job as a way of doing business without the added fees. After all, exceeding your expectations is our goal. It drives us to be experts at your moment of truth.

    We’ve named our premedia production process "Linx™" because it consists of 6 vital steps that are intimately linked to one another. It ensures quality, reduces costs associated with reworks, manages brand standards, and offers greater graphic consistency and a safe haven for your intellectual assets.
  • Linx™ Step 1: Pre-production
    • • Brand Standards – As guardians of your brand, we’ll ensure the application of your standards.
    • • Color Standards – Potential color issues are identified and solutions are provided.
    • • Deliverable Attributes – Size, media, and shipping are all evaluated.
    • • Print Production Interface – We meet up-front with the intended print resource to ensure all facets of a project are feasible. Every detail of the print process is discussed at length.
  • Linx™ Step 2: File build
    • • File Formatting – Our expertly trained staff of production artists build digital files, using the latest software available.
    • • Production Process – We streamline the printing process. All printers are different, which is why all files need to be specially tailored to ensure the highest quality print is attained. We consult with the intended print source beforehand to make sure that our files meet their requirements so that your needs are met.
  • Linx™ Step 3: Quality Control - Premedia Stage
    • • Language & Spelling – Multi-language translations will be obtained by a registered language translation resource.
    • • Graphic Asset Consistency – Our QC team reviews your creative property assets including logos, type fonts, images, addresses, just to mention a few, to ensure correct usage and consistency.
    • • Regulatory Compliance – We provide a detailed review of any specialty compliancy issues such as country of origin and/or NOM compliance issues, and FDA regulations.
    • • Draw Down Color Analysis – Printer color accuracy is ensured through state-of-the-art color analysis. Color draw downs from your print resources are measured using a spectrodensitometer to verify the accuracy of the intended coloration.
    • • Efficient Client Approvals – A PDF is sent to you for review and approval.
  • Linx™ Step 4: Preflight
    • • File Analysis – Using the industry standard software, your digital files are analyzed for specifications adherences.
    • • Element Bundling – All necessary elements, i.e. images and fonts, are “collected” and placed within a digital folder to await transport to the print resource.
    • • Resource Processing – The digital folder is uploaded to the particular print resource FTP site and then contacted by email with an accompanying reference PDF of the project.
  • Linx™ Step 5: Quality Control - Post-Printing (Optional)
    • • Contract Proofing – Print resources are required to provide a calibrated, high-resolution digital proof printed onto the requisite substrate for accurate color rendition. These proofs are meticulously reviewed.
    • • Color Measuring: X-Rite LAB input analysis for color accuracy – Our QC professionals create custom color profiles within a spectrodensitometer (X-Rite) to ensure the colors you view are true.
    • • Color Database – We archive all color measurements by client and by project for future reference. This ensures color accuracy, particularly brand requirements. In the future, it easily allows printers to be identified as “approved” based on their color accuracy.
  • Linx™ Step 6: Post-production
    • • File Archiving – When your project is complete, the files are safely archived on secured servers at our facility and available to you whenever you need them.
    • • Creative Assets Management – Images, logos and project files are inventoried and updated in an organized system.
    • • Easy Assets Deployment – When you need an image, logo, or digital file of a print project sent to a new resource, we’ll send them for you. They reside on our servers, and are always available to you because you own them.
